Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Who do you work with?

I currently work with individual teens (16 years or older) and adults. I do not work with children, couples, or families.

How much does therapy cost?

My full fee is $200 per 50-minute session. Longer sessions need to be discussed and would be pro-rated. To support accessibility, I also have a limited number of sliding scale spots based on need. Please reach out to inquire. You will have a credit card on file that is charged automatically the night after each session.

Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance or EAPs. This allows me to provide high quality and individualized care that prioritizes you and your needs.

I do accept credit cards as well as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) cards. If your insurance plan offers benefits for out-of-network providers, I can provide a super-bill for you to submit for reimbursement.

I offer primarily telehealth sessions with hybrid opportunities to see people in-person in San Francisco (lower Pacific Heights) and Oakland (Pill Hill). I generally see clients in Oakland once a month on Fridays and have a more flexible schedule in San Francisco.

All sessions are confidential and comply with HIPAA standards. Telehealth sessions are secure and encrypted.

Do you see clients via telehealth or in-person?

How often will we meet?

I recommend for new clients that we meet weekly for at least the first month since we are still getting to know each other and building a relationship. After that, frequency of sessions depend on clinical need, availability, budget, etc. We can discuss and determine frequency together and adjust as needed throughout the course of our time together.

Please give me at least 24 business hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. If I am notified less than 24 hours in advance, that will be considered a late cancellation and you will be charged the full fee of the session.

What is your cancellation policy?

I use an online practice management system called SimplePractice. All scheduling and paperwork will be completed in SimplePractice and telehealth sessions will be hosted on their video platform.

How will we meet?

Start by filling out the contact form. I’ll respond shortly to schedule a free 20-minute consultation call with you. This is a time where I can hear more about what you’re looking for, tell you about how I work, and answer any questions you have. Assuming it’s a good fit, we’ll pick a regular appointment time and a date to get started. I’ll send you a confirmation email as well as some paperwork to fill out via SimplePractice, and then we’ll start meeting!
