Individual Therapy

My perspective is that we all exist as part of greater systems, whether it is your family, your community, and more. However, we cannot control or change others. Individual therapy can be the first step in getting help to take back control of your life. 

While I take a structured and directive approach, I only offer invitations, not commands. The first few sessions will be focused on getting to know each other and figuring out your goals for treatment.  Based on what we discuss, I will highlight some areas that I believe will be beneficial for us to address together.  Each session after that will be tailored to meet your individual needs, including both the overarching goals as well as topics that may come up from week to week. 

Every 6 months or so, we will review your treatment plan together to celebrate progress, update goals, and make sure that we’re on the right track.

We will work together to decide on frequency and timeframe.  Therapy can be time-limited or an ongoing process with regular check-ins to assess how you are feeling about your progress. Individual sessions are 50 minutes.  Longer sessions are available by request.  I currently am taking adult and teen (16+) individual clients.
