Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Who do you work with?

I currently work with individual teens (16 years or older) and adults. I do not work with children, couples, or families.

How much does therapy cost?

My full fee is $200 per 50-minute session. Longer sessions need to be discussed and would be pro-rated. To support accessibility, I also have a limited number of sliding scale spots based on need. Please reach out to inquire.

Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance or EAPs. This allows me to provide the high quality and individualized care that prioritizes you and your needs.

I do accept credit cards as well as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) cards. If your insurance plan offers benefits for out-of-network providers, I can provide a super-bill for you to submit for reimbursement.

I offer primarily telehealth sessions with hybrid opportunities to see people in-person in San Francisco (lower Pacific Heights) and Oakland (Pill Hill). I generally see clients in Oakland once a month on Fridays and have a more flexible schedule in San Francisco.

Do you see clients via telehealth or in-person?

How often will we meet?

I recommend for new clients that we meet weekly for at least the first month since we are still getting to know each other and building a relationship. After that, frequency of sessions depend on clinical need, availability, budget, etc. We can discuss frequency and decide together and adjust as needed throughout the course of our time together.

How will we meet?

I use an online practice management system called SimplePractice. All scheduling will be done in SimplePractice and telehealth sessions will be hosted on their video platform.
